​About Us

​Mining is an applied science that covers the processes of discovery, extraction and enrichment of minerals found in the earth's crust. The sustainable and efficient operation of our country's rich mineral resources and their contribution to the economy requires the training of competent technical personnel in this field. In this context, our program was established to train qualified mining technicians who are proficient in current mining technologies and methods. 
Students who graduate from the program receive the title of "Mining Technician" and have the opportunity to work in public institutions and private organizations operating in the mining sector. In addition, they have the opportunity to continue their education in relevant undergraduate programs by taking the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) organized by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) after graduation.
